Clinical Supervision
For LMSWs in-person in Atlanta and virtually throughout Georgia
Hey there! I’m Lindsey Cope.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has been working in the field since 2017, and has specialized in eating disorders and chronic body-image related concerns since 2020. I decided to become a clinical supervisor because of my own experiences in supervision, and the value I found in having a supportive and engaged clinical supervisor.
My goal is to be a strong mentor for therapists who are new to the field and developing their professional identity. As a supervisor, I support supervisees in conceptualizing cases, developing a strong ethical foundation, and exploring and expanding their clinical strengths. I also believe it’s important to address burnout in the field, and I integrate discussions around sustainability, boundaries, self-compassion, and—when relevant—the realities of building or growing a private practice.
My approach is compassionate and direct. I strive to create a supervisory environment where supervisees feel safe to be vulnerable, try new things, ask questions freely, and share what feels challenging without fear of being judged.
Topics I specialize in:
Eating disorders/disordered eating (all types)
Body image struggles & body dysmorphia
Anxiety and mood disorders
OCD
Trauma and attachment related issues
My clinical training draws from:
Somatic Experiencing and Polyvagal approaches
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Attachment-based Therapy
Internal Family Systems-informed work (IFS)
What does supervision look like?
Case conceptualization
Support for working with eating disorders, body image distress, and chronic dieting
How to use harm reduction with eating disorders, GLP-1 use, and more
Your internal responses and countertransference
Finding your voice and theoretical grounding as a clinician
Boundaries and sustainable practice
Documentation, ethics, scope of practice, and professional decision-making
Who I Work With:
I am a good fit for LMSWs who:
Are drawn to eating disorder and body image work, or are curious to learn more
Want to learn or deepen somatic and polyvagal-informed skills
Value authenticity, collaboration, and curiosity in supervision
May feel like they’re “supposed to already know everything” and are looking for a space to be human
